Opening a file from any instrument, measuring, editing, saving as .sor and sharing a link costs nothing, and it will stay that way.
About
An OTDR file should open for everyone, not just where the vendor software is installed
Measurements are too often locked inside the vendor's program: Windows only, installed first, and not on every laptop in the crew. We make a file from any instrument open from a link, on any computer or phone.
- OpenedThe trace, its events and the table are on screen a second later. Nothing to install, no account.
- Saved without editsYou get the same
.sorback, byte for byte. Every build checks this on files from instruments of different makers. - Metadata editedOnly what you changed changes. The vendor's blocks are carried over as they are, and the file still opens in the vendor software.
- Link sentThe recipient opens their own copy. Their edits don't touch your file, and the link works for two weeks.
- Working in your accountYour files are visible on any device where you signed in by email. To remove them from your account, email us what to delete and we reply once it is gone.

A file you did not edit is not damaged
Save without changing anything, and you get the same file back byte for byte. Every build of the service checks this.
Your files don't go to third parties
We don't pass them on, publish them or sell them.
We never fill in limits of our own
What is acceptable on a job is decided by your project and your customer. The threshold field stays empty until you fill it: a plausible number from us would read as a standard.

What it stands on
The instrument's figures and ours stay apart
What the instrument recorded, you see as it recorded it. What we found sits next to it, labelled as our analysis, and never takes the place of the instrument's figure.
Worked out from real files
Every format was read from files of working instruments, not from a specification. A file that does not open is our next job.
It works where the work is
A tablet on site, somebody else's laptop, a contractor's Mac. The link opens the same way everywhere, without admin rights and without an account.

Account
All files and reports by day, a link and QR code to the trace on the report, CSV, a two-ended trace report and one project. Free: all it takes is an email address.
The job
Projects with the drum’s factory data, Cable mode checking every fibre, a completeness grid and a summary table. The whole job in one download: PDF, Excel, CSV and an archive of .sor files. A year for $119.88.
