OTDR viewer
An OTDR viewer that runs in your browser
Open a trace, find the events, measure a span with cursors and hand the file on — without installing anything. Works on macOS, Windows and Linux, from a tablet and from a phone.
No file at hand? The app has a "no file? open an example" button that loads a real measurement.
What is here
Not a showcase of features, but the things used every day.
Files from any instrument
.sor in both versions of the standard, .msor, three dialects of .trc, .bdr, .TFW, .tst and files with no extension at all. The format is recognised by content, not by name.
Cursors and events
Two cursors, loss over a span both two-point and least-squares, automatic detection of reflective and non-reflective events, fiber end and ghosts.
Editing and saving
Metadata, events, trimming, recalculation by refractive index — and saving back to a .sor that opens in the instrument's own software.
There is nothing to download
This job is usually looked for as an installer: "otdr viewer download", "otdr viewer free download". There is nothing to install and no sign-up — the page opens by link, including on somebody else's laptop and on a phone in the field. What happens to the file you open is stated plainly in the terms of use.
What is free
Opening, viewing, measuring, editing, saving as .sor and sharing a link — free, with no account. One boundary: three files in the working set at a time, and the fourth asks you to close one. What will be paid for are the conveniences of volume — batches, registers, reports — not the work with a trace itself; the pricing page says so without a price, because there is no price yet.

There is not a single threshold value bundled in: what is acceptable on your site is known by your project and your customer.
